Plan to Succeed: The Four D’s for Our Desires
Welcome to another week of our Making A Happy Home Link-Up! Each week we share posts that contribute to making a happy home – recipes, do-it-yourself projects, family activities, and so much more. This week I’d like to share with you a great post from one of my blogging friends.
Beth from A Warm Hearth recently shared ways she and a friend came up to plan to succeed to become “Marthas” in their home lives.
When Martha went to Jesus to complain about her sister, Mary, not doing housework, Jesus didn’t say stop doing housework and become a slug like your sister (don’t write me about that choice of word, don’t you think that’s how Martha felt at that moment). He tells Martha that Mary had chosen “the good part that Mary needed”. It’s up to each of us to chose the good part that is needed … we will be led to find it, if we give ourselves the time. With this in mind Good Friend and I both chose what one good thing was lacking in our Martha lives, and agreed to help one another make it happen.
We just hunkered down an pooled our combined intelligence and came up with a plan that I’m calling The Four D’s for Our Desires (just goofy enough to be remembered).
You can head over to A Warm Hearth to read her full post.
I plan on implementing these steps in the coming days and weeks. They will help me with my summer goals that focus on my family.
