Cricut Design Space App: Creating a Simple Design
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
I recently downloaded the Cricut Design Space App and am loving it! For me, it’s easier to navigate and edit simple projects to create on my Cricut Explore Air2.
Your projects will be synced across your devices since the app is cloud-based. While scrolling through it recently I came across a fun project that both my children would love – creating their personalized Class of 20XX T-Shirts.

The Cricut design space app is easy to use on the go
After doing some quick math to determine graduation years, I was able to easily edit the graphic on the Cricut Design Space app with my daughter’s graduation year. It dawned on me that this would be a great project to do with my children. Thanks to the syncing I could open it up on Design Space using my laptop and see all the edits I had made on my smartphone. With a few size adjustments for her smaller sized t-shirt, we were ready for our design to be cut.
What I loved about this project is that it was an easy way to introduce both of my children to the Cricut Explore Air2 and EasyPress 2 with supervision. My daughter has been making a list of different projects she would like to create since I told her we would be partnering with Cricut. This was her first opportunity to be hands-on with the machines. It did not take long for her to take the lead and make this project her own.
What I love about Cricut’s Design Space is that you can find easy projects that are truly just that! My 8-year-old was able to follow along with the instructions and do the majority of the steps with little help from me.
The Class of 20XX project is fairly simple. Once you’ve updated your graduation year, you cut your design and use the EasyPress 2 to apply it to your t-shirt. Within Design Space you can easily resize the project and use it for different projects like totes, tumblers, matching doll clothing, pillowcases, and so much more.
Yes, it is that simple and easy to create this project that my eight-year-old was able to complete it with very little assistance from me. I even gave her an introduction to the EasyPress 2 so she could learn how the heat press process works. I have learned that my children have a different kind of respect for the work I do when they are able to be hands-on and participate with me. We have fun together and my behind the scenes things get done as well. It’s a great balance.
Since getting our Cricut Explore Air2 and EasyPress 2 I have found myself randomly pulling them out to create a new project just for fun. Part of my mental health journey includes finding ways to just be. I remember being asked what hobbies I enjoyed during a group therapy session. I was completely stumped as to how to answer. There was absolutely nothing that I did that was not connected to my business or my children.
I have noticed how much that has changed in recent months. There have been several occasions where I found myself searching through the Cricut Design Space App and saving projects to try at a later date. I have pulled my machines out and just tried new things. Some have gone really great and others were a great learning experience of what not to do the next time.
